Susan Nickson, the creator of BBC Three sitcom Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps, is teaming up with Peep Show writers Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong to create a new sitcom for Channel 4. The new comedy is written by Nickson and script-edited by Bain and Armstrong. According to Broadcast Magazine, the writers have been given a "blank sheet of paper" and despite not yet knowing what the sitcom will be about Channel 4 is funding the project regardless. The un-titled sitcom is being made by Objective Productions - the company behind Peep Show. Ben Farrell, Objective's Head of Comedy says: "It is early days but it will be a female, character-led sitcom - but it won't be a female Peep Show. It might be the next Only Fools And Horses, or it might not work…” Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong have recently finished writing a second series of The Old Guys for BBC One. While Nickson has quit the long running Two Pints…before it returns for another series later this year.
